Slowdown cyclical, but reforms needed: RBI

The RBI has attributed the recent deceleration in economic growth to a "soft patch mutating into a cyclical downswing" rather than a deep structural slowdown. The annual report reiterates governor Shaktikanta Das' statement that the highest priority is being accorded to reviving private investment and consumption.
