Dow Jones suffers worst day of 2019 over recession fears

The Dow Jones Industrial Average suffered its worst day of 2019 on Wednesday, finishing with a loss of some 800 points, or 3.1 percent, at 24,479.42 as recession fears gripped the world economy following poor Chinese and German data.
